“I know that we are all aware of the tornado that hit our community. As a Floresville High School Junior, the damage to the high school was shocking to me and I immediately thought of all the other students and staff and how it may have affected them. I felt the urge to pray for them and then I realized they may want to pray with me as well,” says Samantha Juarez.

Samantha Juarez is reaching out to the youth and the entire community to hold a community candle light prayer service on the lawn of the Wilson County Courthouse on Sunday, Nov. 8, starting at 5:30 p.m. This non-denominational gathering welcomes all churches to participate as well as the community. Participants are invited to bring a lawn chair or other seating arrangements, as well as a candle to participate in the candle light ceremony.

For more information about the prayer service, contact the family at 801-645-6854.

For information about how to help families in the community who are rebuilding after tornado damage, download the PDF file above "how to help." Stay #FloresvilleStrong!
