2015: A year of sovereignty, lawsuits, lost beef causes
When one addresses Waters of the United States, aka the Clean Water Rule, or the Red River Valley dispute, one word -- sovereignty -- continues to be included in the debate. Do the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have the power to regulate mud puddles and ditches? Can the Bureau of Land Management claim and take away land along the Red River in Texas and Oklahoma from landowners who have owned and paid taxes for generations, due to an incomplete survey? . . .
