Floresville city Councilman Jim Miller has submitted a professional misconduct/ethics complaint against the law firm that argued the city council’s case against him in district court.

Miller said he filed the formal complaint against Roland L. Rios and Associates, PLLC, because the firm charged the city for services rendered before the council acted to hire it.

A council majority voted to retain the firm’s services “regarding issues concerning council member qualifications” at the Nov. 12 council meeting.

A Dec. 1 statement from the firm to the city includes charges for services performed on Nov. 2 and 9, plus expenses for an investigation conducted Nov. 2-11.

Give this council a couple of months, and they will deplete our reserves. We will again be "insolvent," as we were last time Tejada was here.
