The Floresville City Council held a packed special meeting Monday night to “include grandfathering” and set an effective date of Jan. 30 for an ordinance regarding eight-liner machines in the city. This was a hasty attempt to head off closure of several such businesses, due to the language of the original ordinance, passed in December. . . .

I feel sorry for the urgent care clinic out there on Hwy. 181. It is right next to one of the larger game rooms. That could not be conducive to good business.
