(Revised 1/22/16) One man is being transported via AirLife to a San Antonio hospital following a single vehicle rollover on Wood Valley Drive near La Vernia just after 6 p.m. this evening.

According to Trooper Jack Johnson with the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, David Alvarez of Adkins was apparently headed home when, for reasons as yet unknown, his vehicle rolled, landing upside down in a driveway.

First responders from the La Vernia Volunteer Fire Department and Eagle Creek EMS extracted him from his vehicle and transported him to a waiting AirLife helicopter.

I'm still looking for a cause. The paper said it might have been medical related and not to judge. Perhaps I missed it and am not adequately praying.

Newguy, I totally agree. It seems No Nonsense spends his life in a perpetual state of anger and discontent. It must be a miserable existence.

Keep us up to date on the cause. I suspect that law enforcement at the scene didn't state not to speculate as to the cause, rather a reporter's attemp to take a stab at a commenter. If a law enforcement officer did state... More ›

A member of the "La Vernia Volunteer Fire Department" IS a "first responder." Geez. Dictionary definition: A First Responder is "someone designated or trained to respond to an emergency."
