Search continues for suspect north of Floresville

One man is in custody as of 11:30 p.m. Jan. 24, and another still is being sought, after police pursued a stolen vehicle from Floresville to C.R. 117 near its intersection with F.M. 2579 north of the city.

Details are sketchy at this time. However, according to Floresville police Sgt. Daniel Small Jr., Floresville Patrolman Matthew Redd attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle on U.S. 181 Business earlier this evening. However, the driver of the vehicle sped north out of the city, turning onto C.R. 117 and continuing west before the driver lost control and crashed.

A San Antonio man, who was apprehended, is not cooperating with police, Small said. A second suspect -- described as a Hispanic male with a medium build, last seen wearing a black jacket -- has not been located. Police believe that he was the driver.

Anyone living in the area who witnesses suspicious activity is urged to call 911.
