Next time you go for a drive, allow yourself some extra time. I don't want to slow you down or make you late to your destination, but take a few glances at the other drivers. It's like we are all white-knuckled driving or oblivious to the potential dangers around us all.

There are distracted drivers still texting or talking wildly with their hands as they carry on a conversation with someone over their Blue Tooth device (then again, maybe they're yelling at the radio). There are drivers with no eye contact to the road around them as they're searching for something on their radio or CD player or reaching for something on the floor. You have to wonder if they are even thinking. Well, they are thinking but not...wisely. It's like they are purposefully absent from where they are. These drivers need someone to think for them.

As a wise person, you're driving AND paying attention to your surroundings, you're seeing the immediate as well as the distant. You are thinking about what is going on. You are able to anticipate and avoid what others who are not paying attention cannot see. You are able to read the traffic flow and maintain proper distances. You are purposefully and intentionally present. You, my friend, THINK!

This concludes my driving suggestions. I believe we can drive better together, right? I used the above to get to the next point of this article.

Between our ears is a brain. Most of us are able to activate this amazing mass to form thoughts, to plan, to figure things out, all to make decisions on our on. Most of us have learned to read. We can follow instructions and probably followed enough instructions that we can tell when something isn't being put together correctly. I have found instructions with a page that state, "This page is intentionally left blank". It leaves me to wonder what happened that made them have to make this obvious announcement. I am just thinking out loud here.

Currently, we are in the Presidential Election Season. We are being bombarded by every talking head that can grab a spot. We have the Candidates themselves telling us what they want us to hear. We then have "common-taters"* telling us what the Candidates just said after they just spoke. We can't get NEWS anymore, we have more talking heads, entertainers, just glorified "common-taters" telling us what they think the NEWS is and then they have panels of even more "common-taters" telling us what they think. (*People who sell expensive potatoes do not want you to know that they're just the same as "common-taters".)

But I believe the American people can think on our own. I believe we realize that WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is entertainment and those involved are trained to take the moves they take. I believe that we actually KNOW there are not little elves living in trees making cookies, that money doesn't grow on trees and any Government that keeps giving more and more away is going to crumble. I actually believe that THINKING people KNOW this. I believe we can think for ourselves and need solutions not more talking heads.

I will not try to tell you who to vote for. I believe wise people THINK and we can think on our own. (hrg)
