The Falls City Independent School District (ISD) board of trustees has selected Todd Pawelek as the lone finalist in its superintendent search. Pawelek was chosen at the conclusion of a lengthy Feb. 16 special meeting.

Pawelek currently serves as the principal of Poth High School in the neighboring Poth ISD. That district also is in the midst of a superintendent search.

Following the state-mandated 21-day waiting period, trustees in Falls City will meet to formally hire Pawelek.
