A hearing regarding the petition to recall several Floresville City Council members has been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 19, at 1:30 p.m. in the courtroom at the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.

The court will hear arguments related to a writ of mandamus that asks the court to order a special recall election in Floresville.

Attorney Javier Villalobos filed the writ on behalf of six signers of a petition calling for the recall of Floresville Mayor Sherry Castillo and city council members Daniel Tejada and Juan Ortiz.

The visiting judge who will preside at the hearing is Judge Dick Alcala of San Antonio.

The judge called a 15 minute recess. They are calling the city secretary to bring the minutes from the last council meeting.

Wow Rose you think that the people voted for the councilmen are not honest? When you have someone telling you what to do and say it becomes easy to call others dishonest.

It is the "three" against at least 522. we know it's many more than that because so many people were afraid to sign the petition.
