Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol continue their investigation into a predawn crash Feb. 22 on S.H. 123 near C.R. 429 north of Stockdale that left one dead.

According to DPS Cpl. Javier Reyes, 57-year-old Eddy Enriquez of Poth was pronounced dead at the scene after the near-head-on crash that occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. A second driver, 38-year-old Zachary Crocker of Canyon Lake, is being treated in the San Antonio Military Medical Center, Reyes said.
