I've already given some food for thought about Donald Trump, now it's time to do a little review of what my thoughts are and hopefully receive some of your comments on why you believe Marco is a good, bad, or mediocre choice for president at this time in our nation's history.

These couple of votes ought to give you a reasonable idea of who Marco Rubio is as far as being a conservative (or not). Out of all the legislation brought forward for a vote in the Senate, Rubio's record indicates 14 'Did not vote' notations just in this past year. He has claimed that he did not vote because he was on the road running for president and couldn't get back to Washington. Most of the 14 'Did not votes' came before he announced he was running for president.

Let's just look at two of his 'conservative?' judgment votes.

On March 27, 2015, prior to his presidential run, he voted with the establishment on passing the $1.1T omnibus budget giving Obama about everything he wanted (and more in some cases). BTW, Ted Cruz voted Nay
Long before that, on July 9, 2014, he voted Yea to approve Obama's nomination of San Antonio's Democratic (Socialist) Mayor to become The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The nomination passed 71-26. Ted Cruz voted Nay along with 25 of the newly elected conservatives of the Republican Party. Rubio voted with the establishment. Castro, it has been pointed out by the press, could very well be Hillary's choice for VP. And the list of go 'along get along votes' goes on!

Now the bill, of which he was a co-sponsor with chuck Schumer (D), NY, that did not pass. He cut and run and voted against his own bill to the amazement and disbelief of the gang of 8! Just last week, when confronted by a reporter on the street, Schumer said, "Rubio's fingerprints were all over the writing of that bill. Then, he cut and run". There are tons more examples of this type of confusing decision making.

All you see in the debates is Rubio taking sides with Trump against Cruz and striking out calling Cruz a liar every time Cruz brings up these things. Chris Christie had Rubio so bent out of shape that I truly thought he was going to break down and cry. He was so befuddled that all he could think to do was repeat himself over and over again ... the very thing he was being criticized about ... being so programmed or robotic in his speech.

Everyone is going to have to make up their own minds By March 1. But, the thing that scares true conservatives the most is Rubio is very handsome, conveys a charisma that can convince people he's truly for them, and is a great orator. Good Lord, aren't we trying to rid ourselves of one of those types in this upcoming election?

You decide. By the way, I do believe he's a good husband and loves his wife and children. It's just I don't believe he has the maturity or discipline necessary for this tremendous challenge at this point.

Two more reasons to reconsider your possible vote for Rubio. Just this week Rubio, thus far, has turned down attending the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) gathering. This is a gathering of all the conservative... More ›
