The American people seem to be having a hard time defining what they really want in a president in these decisive times. This election will determine whether we will go on and build our nation back to a Constitutional Republic or further tear it down into a socialist commune where nobody has a chance to better themselves. So, maybe we ought to take a look at some of the personality traits we do not want in our presidential choice.

Do we want a candidate who is a lover of him or herself, a lover of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to his or her parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, a lover of pleasure rather than a lover of God, and having a form of godliness but denying its power. (From 2 Timothy with last sentence omitted).

Or do we want the exact antithesis of the above traits. A proven leader who is steadfast, totally loyal to the Constitution and the people, and has the record to prove it. A person who will be the peoples servant.

In my opinion, we have a candidate in the Republican race who fits at least 14 - 15 of the 19 personality traits pointed out in the second paragraph. The remaining candidates have just about none of these traits. Perhaps 2 or 3 ... can't say. Before someone responds that I am being judgmental, I am. There are two judgments that are available to man. One is to be used and the other is to never be used by man. We are to 'judge' who we are comfortable being around throughout life. We are never to 'judge' who is going to heaven or hell when they leave this earth ... that is solely up to the Creator.

I mentioned in parentheses at the end of the second paragraph above that the last sentence regarding the person having those traits was left out. Well, here's the last sentence ... "Have nothing to do with them." In this case 'him'. You've got your choice on Tuesday if you can identify that person. And, his identification is quite obvious.

Russell. "Trump believes in Trump, ..." Well, Castro believes in Castro, Chavez believed in Chavez, Hitler believed in Hitler, and Obama believes Obama! What was you point? Cruz believes in the promise he can... More ›

I think we're just re-arranging the deck chairs. Trump flies his freak flag in the front yard, the rest wear it under their suits like Superman. IMHO Cruz is the best alternative, but I'm sure he has his own freak flag.... More ›

Deci. The 'bar' is generally only low on the 'takers' in our republic.

The republican* field is still big and varied. The democratic* not so much. Shame that the election of Obama, in my opinion, has lowered the bar so very low........... * I only capitalize the names of things I respect.
