Compared to last report: Hay sold mostly steady to weak on light to moderate movement. The Panhandle received some much needed moisture this week slowing hay movement down. Some producers and brokers have dropped prices when possible to get large bales of alfalfa or coastal Bermuda in stock moving. Freight makes dropping prices difficult in some situations when distance to get top quality hay is too far. Coastal Bermuda producers are ready to begin sprigging their pastures for new crop but some received 2 inches of rain which will delay the process. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.  . . .
