Coaches, school board, teachers, principles, etc. should do the best job possible. They should do what is right. If they don't get rid of them. In Poth America there are hidden agendas that are a cause of concern. The Superintendent should hold all the school employees to task. She should listen to the people who have children in school. The people should also elect school board members who are not going to use the position as leverage. Let the chips fall as they may. I'm not losing any sleep over the coach getting canned. Why stop there? Poth needs a clean start. Coaches, Teachers, and Board. Keep the good get rid of the sub performers. It's the American way.

Definitely some other agenda at work here. Be very interesting to see exactly who the school board comes up with to replace Thiebaud. If the selection does not pass the smell test it's time for some changes in the board.

Well I know one thing for sure, if the interim superintendent really expected to see significant results in the administration of the athletic program in the 27 days that passed since her first conversation with AD Thiebaud on Feb. 11, to the time she appeared before the school board (you have to be put on the agenda well before that) on March 9th, in my opinion she should be terminated immediately. The school board should be looking for capable administrators in ALL positions, not just bureaucrats. Good coaches, teachers and administrators do all they can to make sure their decisions are right and then stand behind them no matter who brings pressure on them to change, politics be damned. Coaching styles vary, training methods vary and of course personalities are different. No one is going to satisfy everyone. The job of the board is to see to the best of their ability the hiring of the best people available for the school, politics be damned. And if any member of the board uses that position to further their own own personal agenda, cannot make honest and objective decisions, or allow outside pressure to influence their decision, they should resign. There may well be other circumstances that contributed to the non-renewing of the contract and I could be wrong about the whiff of spoiled shrimp, I have been wrong before.
