This short essay is intended to be my 'guess', and my guess only, as to what Obama 'may' present to the American people and Congress when he returns home from Cuba or within a very short period of time thereafter (within a month or two).

As we are all aware, President Obama began a visit to Cuba on March 20. He will tour some of its sites and end up the trip holding discussions with Cuba's Raul Castro. Discussions will presumably be about further strengthening U.S./Cuban relations.

He will inform us that their talks were quite productive and that they have come to a general agreement as to how these two nations can proceed forward in bettering relations. He will go on to say there was a lot of give and take on what each country must give and will receive in return. And, that Raul is explaining these agreement term issues to the Cuban people. Then he will indicate that this is his time to explain them to the American people and Congress. Both countries' governments must agree to all the terms and conditions contained in the general understanding and vote to approve them before the final agreement can take effect.

Somewhere during his presentation to us and the Congress, he will issue a plea to consider one of the conditions of Mr. Castro. And, that is, the only way he (Castro) will move forward with the U.S. is if we turn over the Guantanamo Bay area into the hands of the Cuban nation and its people where it belongs. In other words, it's Castro's 'demand', not condition.

Of course, he will continue on to give Congress and the people a luxurious, tempting set of 'goodies' American's will receive in return for our cooperation with Cuba. And, that list will really be mouth watering and cause a true problem for Congress (particularly the republicans) should they attempt to vote down the Guantanamo portion of the new 'deal'.

I may be totally wrong, and I hope I am. However, if I'm correct, we've been warned about what may be coming our way. And, it just could include Guantanamo's prisoners!
