The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a flash flood watch for a portion of South Central Texas, including Atascosa, Bexar, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes, and Wilson counties, until Tuesday, April 19.

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.

An additional 1-3 inches of rainfall is expected, with isolated higher amounts of 4-6 inches possible.

In addition to the threat of heavy rainfall, there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms, large hail, and damaging wind gusts for Tuesday and Wednesday.
