Compared to last report: Alfalfa prices (in the bale and ground) traded $5-$10 lower. Other hay classes remained steady for now. Movement was inactive to slow. The Panhandle received some much needed rain to benefit local pastures. The rain hampered hay movement but brokers continue to work on establishing hay contracts. Coastal Bermuda producing areas in North, East, and South Texas are at a standstill as fields are flooded and will need time to dry out. Prices for hay and pellets quoted per ton except where noted.  . . .
