Pilgrim’s Pride recall chicken products
Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., a Waco establishment, is recalling approximately 5,176,844 pounds of fully cooked chicken products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.
The scope of this recall expansion now includes a variety of chicken products that may be contaminated with extraneous metal materials. The chicken products were produced on various dates between May 6 and Dec. 3, 2015. The following products, sold in 10-lb and 42.0-lb boxes, are subject to recall:
•5-lb clear bags of Sweet Georgia brand fully cooked breaded diced chicken meat
•7.15-lb clear bags of fully cooked seasoned chicken leg meat strips with Teriyaki sauce or Green Dragon fully cooked seasoned chicken leg meat strips with New Orleans brand sauce
•5-lb clear bags of chicken and 2.15-lb sauce packets of Green Dragon fully cooked breaded diced chicken leg meat with a General Tso’s sauce, sweet Sriracha glaze, Japanese cherry blossom sauce, or with tangerine sauce.
