I grew up reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag. As the son of a World War II Soldier and then National Guard member and the Father to a Soldier, as well as, being retired military myself, that Flag means more to me than can be put into words. There was a time that everyday people had a sense of common decency, respect of things sacred to the common purpose of us all here in this USA. There were Laws on the books to protect this sanctity but the liberal agenda has gutted it.

We all have seen the media reports of a few who have found they can trash OUR Flag with anything else held sacred by hiding behind the very thing this USA Flag represents. What amazes me is that they want to desecrate the very symbol of what provides their freedoms, failing to realize it represents the blood of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. When I see people stepping on the Flag my mind superimposes the caskets draped with this same Flag and my gut goes into a sickening twist.

A few years back I moved to Texas where I find we also Pledge Allegiance to the Texas Flag (I wasn't born in Texas but by God's Grace I got here as soon as I could!). I can't say I am one who thinks Texas should secede but there are times it does cross my mind. Problem is I see some of the same lack of respect and honor and liberal agenda here in Texas too. One item that jumps out at me was a Mayor dictating something along the lines requiring all clergy must submit their sermons to her. Of course, she failed to get her way. Who would have ever thought we would see such oppression in the USA, let alone God Blessed Texas.

Every official meeting here in Texas starts with the Pledge of Allegiance to the USA Flag and then the Texas Flag. If you are a Texan, you need to know this, if not, you need to consider it. This Texas Pledge is short but powerful:

"Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee,
Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible."

"Honor" this very element of character seems to be missing today in a growing epidemic. I hear people talk about being disrespected or offended but too few know what personal honor is or the power behind doing what is honorable. Of course, right away people will agree but if they were honest (an honorable trait, right?) they don't plan on changing themselves. Today it just seems too many people do not want to be held accountable to be honorable themselves, they want the other guy to do it. That way they can take advantage of others. Right off the bat, the deck is stacked in their favor. Kinda like all these people stomping on the American Flag but wanting to continue to receive protection or maybe screaming that all Police are corrupt but then calling 911. It doesn't make any sense to want it both ways!

"Honor" is something you either have or you don't. It is part of who each of us are. In the event the liberal agenda succeeds in removing everything sacred, holy, innocent and pure, and they can get God ejected to their liking, who is going to honor them? Once those we are gone who can grasp what it means to sacrifice for the good of ALL, not a select few, and once all of us who possess a God given conscience of knowing right from wrong are quieted, WHO is going to be left. Yep, the Left and that's just not Right.
