On Saturday, May 28, in advance of Memorial Day, residents of the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville will be honored by local motorcycle groups, who will deliver presents of clothing and toiletries to the residents. The event, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., is open to the public.

The motorcyclists will circle the home, signaling to kick off the ceremony. The event program includes the presentation of colors by a local equestrian team, an invocation by Soldiers for Jesus, an MIA table ceremony, music by the U.S. Air Force “Band of the West,” and more.

Participating motorcycle organizations are Sovereign Sons of San Antonio MC, Combat Vets Chapter 23-3 and Auxiliary, Soldiers for Jesus MC, Fallen Saints MC of San Antonio, Patriot Guard Riders, Air Force Sergeants Association, Combat Vets Association, and the Green Knights. Organizers anticipate more than 500 people will attend this event.

The Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home is located at 200 Veterans Drive in Floresville.
