Leftover brush from storm? Call the city
After the May 18 microburst storm whipped across Wilson County, there was plenty of cleanup for everyone. For those inside the Floresville city limits who missed the brush pickup last week, don’t despair. Just sign up for the city’s regular collection, which occurs on the second full week of every month.
According to the city’s website, residents should stack all large piles of brush as close to the street as possible. Limbs should be cut into sections, not to exceed 12 feet in length, with the butt ends together. Medium piles of brush should be cut into sections, not to exceed 4 feet in length, with butt ends together and as close to the street as possible. Any loose branches or yard debris should be tied into bundles, using string or twine. No bags will be picked up by city crews.
To be put on the list for collection, call Floresville City Hall at 830-393-3105.
