A rollover on U.S. 181 at Paloma Drive in Floresville about 8:30 a.m. this morning resulted in more damage to the vehicles than their drivers.

A woman whose car rolled over walked away from the accident after officers extracted her through the passenger side door, while a woman from the other vehicle was placed on a stretcher before being put into an ambulance.

According to Wilson County Pct. 2 Commissioner Paul W. Pfeil, who was at the scene, there apparently were no serious injuries.

(woops!) 0830h = time of accident. Got it.

How did the rollover happen? Was alcohol involved? What time of day was it? Is 181 at Paloma drive a particularly dangerous area of the road?

Were they wearing seat belts ? If they had been hurt and not wearing them, I'm sure the story would have highlighted that. How about a POSITIVE comment when a seat belt saves someone. John L. La Vernia
