Afternoon crash injures one, closes Business Loop 181 in Floresville
JEFF VALCHER / Drivers are asked to avoid using Business Loop 181 north of Floresville, following a crash between a school bus and pickup truck that has closed the road to traffic.

Business Loop 181 is closed to traffic in both directions just north of Floresville, following a crash involving a school bus and a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD at ap-proximately 3:30 p.m. today. The accident took place near the junction of Garrett Lane with the business loop.

The driver and four children on the bus are unharmed, but the driver of the pickup truck was transported from the scene via AirLife.

Members of the Floresville Police Department and other agencies are working the accident scene.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to avoid the area.

I'm wondering when the city will wake up and request the Highway Dept lower the speed limit on 4th St. It's no longer a rural highway, but rather a suburban neighborhood. It would be nice if the FISD would also petition the ... More ›
