Farmers and ranchers can now provide the common information from their acreage reports just once, according to Judith A. Canales, executive director for the Texas Farm Service Agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). A common data-reporting process -- USDA’s Acreage Crop Reporting Streamlining Initiative Information -- is available for 93 percent of all annual reported acres to those involved with Farm Service Agency or federal insurance. . . .
