Representatives from the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVEC) and safety mascot Louie the Lightning Bug visited more than 3,000 students in more than 30 schools this past school year to promote electrical safety. The “Louie the Lightning Bug Electrical Safety Program” is designed to educate second-graders about this very important topic through a special visit from Louie, a fun video, and an interactive coloring contest. . . .
