Sam Kane Beef Processors, LLC, a Corpus Christi establishment, is recalling approximately 60,350 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with foreign materials, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.

The “Hill Country Fare Ground Beef” 3-, 5-, and 10-pound chubs -- 73 percent lean and 27 percent fat -- were produced on July 26 and are subject to recall.

These items were shipped to three H-E-B Grocery distribution centers in Texas.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Mysti Richardson, Director of Marketing, at 361-241-5000, ext. 241.
