Manuel Zepeda, 66, of Nixon has been arrested on one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of improper relationship between educator and student in Gonzales County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The charges against Zepeda stem from alleged incidents beginning in 2009 involving three juvenile girls. During this period, he was a substitute teacher for the Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District. Zepeda has served as Nixon’s city manager since 2014.

As the result of an investigation requested by the Gonzales County Attorney’s Office, the Texas Rangers took Zepeda into custody without incident at Nixon City Hall and then transported him to the Gonzales County Jail.

Texas DPS urges anyone with information regarding this case or potential victims to call 210-531-4341.

Floresville had a city manager with an arrest record ........evidently in small, corrupt cities/towns it is who you know and not what you know!

I wonder how well this cat was investigated before he was hired as city manager. Substitute teaching really qualifies one to manage a metropolis even one the size of Nixon.

I'm jealous, they must have a good County Attorney!! I know, nothing to laugh at, but that is what it takes to lock up criminals, good County DA and city DA.
