It’s not too late!

Floresville citizens have until 5 p.m. today to file applications to run for city council places 1 and 2, and the office of mayor. Those seeking to replace Councilman Johnny Ray Nieto in Place 3 have until 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25.

These places will appear on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Residents of the city of Sandy Oaks and the East Central Independent School District also can file to run for office.

Applications in Floresville have been received for the following:

•Mayor: Mario Morones, Cissy Gonzales Dippel

•Council Place 1: Daniel Tejada

•Council Place 2: Juan Ortiz

•Council Place 3: Frank S Ramirez, Debbie Bolf, Jacob Silva.

Three trustee positions are on the ballot in the East Central Independent School District -- District 3, District 4, and District 6.

In Sandy Oaks, offices on the ballot include the mayor and council places 2 and 4.

Register your intent to run for office at the relevant city hall or school administration office.
