Floresville’s new set of traffic lights is about to become fully operational.

The traffic signals are scheduled to turn on Thursday, Aug. 25, at around 9:30 a.m., according to information provided by Josh Donat of the Texas Department of Transportation.

The red lights have been blinking at the intersection of Fourth (Business U.S. 181) and Standish streets (S.H. 97) for about a week, advising drivers that the signals soon will be fully active.

What about the traffic light at 97 and 181? It has been blinking since the rains this weekend. Hope it's back on this morning.
