Wilson County Auditor Tom Dupnick presents basic information about the county’s property-tax rate during a hearing on the tax at the Sept. 12 county commissioners meeting. The 47.38-cent-per-$100 taxable valuation for the fiscal year 2016-17 budget will be the same as it is for the current fiscal year. No citizens commented at this hearing or at the Sept. 6 hearing.
In anticipation of the Nov. 8 general election, Wilson County commissioners approved polling locations for voters in county emergency services districts 1 and 2 (La Vernia-area ESD and Eagle Creek-area ESD). . . .
