A two-car accident this morning involving a rollover and a downed power line has closed U.S. 181 Business near its intersection with Standish, as emergency crews clear the street.

According to Floresville Police Department Detective George Ortiz, a black Toyota Corolla hit a silver Chevy Tahoe going north on Business U.S. 181 and overcompensated, striking and knocking over a power pole, before rolling over onto its roof.

The three occupants of the Corolla were taken from the scene in ambulances, as Floresville Electric Light and Power System personnel cleared the power pole and lines from the street.

From what I remember, this occurred approximately 100-200 yards before the Standish intersection.

Did this happen at the intersection where the new lights were installed?
