Stockdale band bus involved in accident

One of two buses transporting the Stockdale High School Brahma Band to Dilley has been involved in an accident near the intersection of I-37 and S.H. 97 near Pleasanton, according to Stockdale Independent School District Superintendent Paul Darilek.

No major injuries have been reported, and the bus with its load of band members is now on its way back to Stockdale, according to a Facebook post from the Stockdale Band Boosters, who advise some students were sent to the hospital to be checked as a precaution. Parents are advised to meet the buses later this evening at the high school band hall.

The football game to which the band was traveling has not been affected; the Brahmas will play as scheduled.

Praying for the safety of all as area football teams meet each other in friendly competition. Have a safe trip home.
