Cecelia Felux Waclawczyk, a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas, entered eternal rest Wednesday evening, Oct. 12, 2016, in Floresville at the age of 95 years, 10 months, and 6 days surrounded by her family in the home of her daughter, Christine Hosek. Cecelia was born Dec. 6, 1920, in Panna Maria to Jacob and Christine Pilarczyk Felux.

She married the love of her life, Louis Waclawczyk, on June 18, 1944, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Panna Maria. Cecelia was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and was a homemaker who loved being a wife and mother to her family.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Louis Waclawczyk; and her daughters, Barbara Barnes and Mary Seiler.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy Szalwinski and husband Justin, Christine Hosek and husband Frank, Carolyn Scheffler and husband Alvin, Louise King and husband Samuel, and Louis Waclawczyk Jr. and wife Annette; her sister, Lucy Kolodziej; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary at 2 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

A celebration of the funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the church, officiated by Msgr. Frank Kurzaj.

Interment followed in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Kosciusko.

Serving as pallbearers were Dwayne Hosek, John Scheffler, Michael Scheffler, Lester King, Jacob Waclawczyk, and Joshua Waclawczyk.
