Antique tractor pull to benefit youth of county

The Wilson County Show Barn Committee will sponsor the Tri-County Antique Tractor Pull and the fifth annual IBCA Barbecue Cook-off Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1, at the Wilson County Show Barn located off S.H. 97 east of Floresville.

Friday’s event begins at 5 p.m. and includes practice pulls for 1960 and older model tractors and trucks. Children will have their chance at a Kids Cook as well.

Saturday’s events begin at 9:30 a.m. with a tractor pull and the cook-off. Cooks will compete in brisket, pork ribs, chicken, and bean categories. Cash and prizes will be awarded. A free dance will conclude the activities.

Gate admission to the tractor pull and cook-off is $5 both days. All proceeds will benefit the youth of Wilson County.
