The 10th annual Western Heritage Days celebration will be held Friday through Sunday, May 3-5, at the Cowboy Fellowship, located at 561 F.M. 3350, between Pleasanton and Jourdanton. Heritage Days events will take place at the new covered facility on-site.

Friday’s events start off with a Cowboy Fellowship Band Concert at 7 p.m. with added attraction Frank Addington Jr., an archery sharpshooter.

Saturday morning the youth have their chance to shine with a youth rodeo beginning at 8 a.m. at the Cowboy Fellowship Covered Arena. Four age groups will compete in four events for prize belt buckles. Grand prize will be a two-horse trailer courtesy of RandiScapes Truck Accessories.

A jackpot bullriding event will begin at 7 p.m. with Hadley Barrett serving as master of ceremonies and the legendary Leon Coffee serving as bullfighter. Riders will compete for prize money and belt buckles.

The final series team-roping event will be held Sunday at the arena.

Other events include a chuck wagon contest and mutton bustin’.

All events during Heritage Days weekend are free and open to the public.
