LAS VEGAS -- The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is honored to announce that the eighth banner for Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association’s (PRCA) Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year will proudly be displayed in the AT&T Center for the 2013 Stock Show & Rodeo. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has been named the recipient of this prestigious industry award for eight years consecutively since 2005.

Each year, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association honors the best of the best in rodeo professionals, stock contractors, and rodeo committees during their annual Contract Personnel Awards Banquet in Las Vegas. Because nominees and winners are voted on by their peers, this honor is considered one of the greatest by industry professionals and those associated with rodeo worldwide.

The honor was received by S.A.L.E. Executive Director and CEO Keith Martin, who commented that “(the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo) is an extremely blessed organization” before giving humble thanks to the more than 5,500 S.A.L.E. volunteers who made this honor possible.

In addition to the honor of PRCA Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year, the prestigious PRCA Veterinarian of the Year award went to San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo’s own Dr. Jake Wells. The field of 21 outstanding nominees was narrowed down to five and Wells emerged as the deserving recipient. Wells has been a dedicated volunteer of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo since 1976.

Come experience the 64th annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, Thursday, Feb. 7, through Sunday, Feb. 24, at the AT&T Center/Freeman Coliseum grounds. Tickets may be purchased online at sarodeo.com, ticketmaster.com, at the AT&T Center Southwest box office, any Ticketmaster location, or by calling 1-877-63-RODEO.
