Gustavo and Cynthia Cavazos of Poth, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Monica Yvonne, to Rosendo Lawrence Montoya, the son of Rosendo and Angel Montoya of Floresville.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Poth High School and is currently a junior at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, majoring in criminal justice.

The prospective groom is a 2010 graduate of Southwest High School in San Antonio and currently serves in the U.S. Air Force. He is stationed at Hurlburt Field in Florida, and is continuing his education through the American Military University.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, June 1, 2013, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth, Texas. They will reside in Florida where Rosendo is stationed.
