ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Carolyn and Dwayne Pippen of Pleasanton, Texas, and Ron Grier and Frank Vasquez of San Antonio are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney R. Grier, to Bernaldo Pena III, the son of Berna and Mary Pena of Pleasanton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fabian Moy of Falls City, Lenoice Grier of Poth and the late Adam Grier, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Pippen of Pleasanton, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Vasquez and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wilkerson, all of Colorado.

Courtney is a graduate of Pleasanton High School. She is employed at the Atascosa Health Center Inc. as a quality improvement specialist and is currently working toward her paramedic license.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Nora Pena of Pleasanton and the late Beranardo “Nano” Pena, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cardenas, formerly of Pleasanton.

Bernaldo is also a graduate of Pleasanton High School and is currently employed at Manning Safety Inc. as a field technician.

The couple are planning to wed on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, in Floresville, Texas, and will reside in Jourdanton.
