ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Elizabeth Schneider of Cibolo, Texas, is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Dawn Renee Wiederstein, to Christopher Michael Koepp, the son of Michael and Georgia Koepp of La Vernia. Dawn is also the stepdaughter of the late Virgil Schneider.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dale Wiederstein of Seguin, the granddaughter of Evelyn Wiederstein of Seguin and the late Maurice Wiederstein, and the late Wallace and Caroline Hancock, and stepgranddaughter of Eldred and Milda Schneider of Spring Branch.

She is a 2005 graduate of Marion High School, a 2009 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in agriculture, and a 2012 graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Dawn is a registered nurse employed with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Cecilia Richter of Stockdale and the late John Richter, and the late Billie and Lorene Koepp.

He is a 2002 graduate of La Vernia High School, and a 2007 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice.

The couple are planning a fall wedding in the First Protestant Church in New Braunfels, Texas, with a reception to follow.
