Pizza Hut has begun work on its expansion in the H-E-B Shopping Center located at 14414 U.S. 87 in La Vernia. Pizza Hut opened up a carryout store in La Vernia last summer. Because sales have been beyond expectations, plans are to open the dine-in restaurant on Wednesday, Aug. 1. When fully staffed, Pizza Hut will have 30 employees. The dining room will seat 90 people and a smaller room with seating for 20 will be available for party rentals and business meetings. The full-service restaurant will have eight televisions throughout the dining areas and will also serve beer.
