Spec Ops.....Hey coach, you are the one that said the
Tiger's play calling was worse than their opponents.
There was no qualifications to your statement. The Tiger
winning records disprove your statement as regards
to 2012 season. Perhaps in your infinite wisdom, you
can explain. Or maybe you will just crawfish and
talk about the quality of the opposition which really
does nothing to support your original statement about
play calling.

Grouch of you knew anything about high school football you know when you play memorial, southside, McCollum, Uvalde, Lanier and Kennedy you simply have to show up and win. Check the records on those teams. You won't find one with a winning record. Then look at the rest of thier schedule and you will find most didn't make it past the first round of playoffs. Wouldn't call those teams powerhouses in Texas football. Combine all thier records and you will probably get a losing record.

Spec Ops.....Yep, just as I suspected, a lower level
coach who has an inflated opinion of his coaching
abilities. You state that the current coaching staff
play calling doesn't match their opponents. If this
is true, how do you explain their stellar record this
year. I don't need to see the games to know the number
of games won and lost. It easy to deal in facts when
not burdened with petty opinions. Very often, a coach
has to correct bad habits from entry level programs.
Sounds like the old B_____ refrain. :)

Grouch, Im not degrading kids at all, only wish they had better coaching. You dont live here or see the games, so how can you comment on coaching calls or decisions. Im simply stating, this coaching staff has been here a long time and hasnt produced much and thier play calling doesnt match opposing teams. If you ask most folks who attend the games here, you will get the same reply. Our kids have plenty of talent, but for some reason it doesnt show up in the win loss colum very often. Im not sure if its coaches being influenced to play certain kids or they just dont have what it takes to bring out the best in our kids. I know the talent is there, I have coached alot of these kids and know that they have it in them. Just saying might need to take a look at coaching changes, be it head coach or position coaches. Just dont see much coaching going on or creativness on the offense or defensive side of the ball.

a very respectable winning average. What is your purpose
for critical comments about the coach. You downgrade
the player's accomplishment by degrading their competition.
There will almost always be some other conferences that
will have better players but that should not detract from
the Tigers winning season. You are right, I have never
attended a Tiger games because I stopped attending high
school sports due to conduct of the parents and fans years ago.
My younger brother coached high school football and
other high school sports for around 44 years so I am
well aware of your type. Arm chair quarterback or
a wanna be coach ? By the way, where did you gain
your expertise ? I suspect that you have delusions of
grandeur in your coaching abilities.

Grouch you obviously have never attended a tiger game. The coaching is mediocre at best. The offense is predictable the defense never makes proper adjustments at halftime and the play calling is horrible. With the district we play in most mediocre teams could Hav made the playoffs. You simply have to watch a game to realize what we are talking about. Not saying Luna is a bad coach just saying he has to come up with a new game plan or be more creative on both sides of the ball. He is not a new coach, he has been around our program for some time now

The Tigers have to take a look at thier coachIng. This staff has been there over 6 years and haven't had much to cheers about until this year. Let's be honest, if we were in our old district we could have easily been 2-8 and 0-5 in district. I just don't see our coaches making the proper adjustments at halftime to stop the opposing team. We are very predIctable on offense and have about 4 plays we run all game. I think most who attend the games would agree

The Tigers have played Port Lavaca for the last 5 or 6 years and get their heads kicked in everytime. Luna has been a tiger coach for every single one of those losses. He obviously is not the guy that is going to turn the tide. FISD needs to hire a new football coach that will breath new life into this football progrm. It takes time to turn a progrm around. Luna has had 6 or 7 years and proved that he can't get the job done. A former Pirate is not the answer that Floresville football needs.
