The UTSA Center for Archaeological Research is accepting applications for its week-long Summer Archaeology Camps, “Bioarchaeology-Tales from Beyond the Grave” June 17 through Aug. 16 on the UTSA main campus in San Antonio.

Campers will learn about bioarchaeology, the analysis of human skeletal remains from archaeological sites, and will be introduced to cultural traditions from all around the world. Scheduled crafts and activities will include making Egyptian Canopic jars, creating mummy masks, and exploring a mystery cemetery.

All camps will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as follows:

•June 17-21

•July 15-19

•Aug. 5-9

•Aug. 12-16.

The cost is $220 per camp, $200 for children of UTSA students, faculty, and staff, and covers supplies, snacks, and a T-shirt. Space is limited to 18 participants per weekly camp.
