The staff and students of Floresville High School invite all incoming freshmen to the Link Crew Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 8 a.m. to noon in the FHS North Campus Gymnasium off S.H. 97 E. in Floresville.

Link Crew is a nationally known program that “links” successful juniors and seniors with groups of freshmen to assist with the transition from middle school to high school. Incoming freshmen that attend the orientation will be assigned a leader who will work with them at orientation and be available for guidance and support as well as plan social and academic meetings throughout the school year.

All incoming freshmen and students new to the district are invited to attend the orientation; freshmen will be given an opportunity to pick up their schedules and take a tour of the campus. Students should dress comfortably with gym-appropriate shoes; there is no need to bring anything to orientation. Parents may drop off students at the front of the gym and can pick them up at the end of the orientation. Activities are designed for the incoming students new to our campus. For more information, contact Leann Drozd at 830-393-5370, Amy Carter at acarter@fisd.us, or Mike McReynolds at emcreynolds@fisd.us.
