Floresville High School senior Madison Posey has been awarded a $10,000-per-year dean’s scholarship by the University of the Incarnate Word.

The daughter of Kimberly Posey plans to study biology at the San Antonio university starting in fall 2013, to become a pharmacist. Madison also is the recipient of the first-ever scholarship awarded by the Wilson County 4-H Llama Group, in the amount of $100, presented April 13 during the county llama show in La Vernia.
