Queen Marilena Raquel Niedenberger

Marilena Raquel Niedenberger is the Queen of the 2013 Sacred Heart Valentine Court. Marilena is a 6-year-old first-grade student. She is the daughter of Douglas and Carrie Niedenberger, and the proud little sister of Tristan. She is the granddaughter of the late Fred Ramirez Jr., Argentina Ramirez, and Annie Niedenberger, all of Floresville.

Marilena participates in the Wilson County Soccer League, Spurs League basketball, Little League, and Hermann Sons School of Dance. She enjoys anything girlish, including polishing her nails, playing dress-up, playing with her dogs, rabbits, and dancing.

Marilena’s strong subjects are math and reading. She is working hard to learn all her prayers and looks forward to making her first Holy Communion this next school year. Marilena is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

She looks forward to representing her school. She thanks her family, friends, and teachers for supporting her.

King Wyatt Hartmann

Wyatt Hartmann is the 5-year-old son of Bryan and Kristi Hartmann of Floresville and the younger brother of Ty Hartmann. He is the grandson of Allen and Joan Hartmann, and Earl and Gwen Fluitt, all of Floresville. He is the great-grandson of Jacqueline Sevier of San Antonio and William E. Fluitt of Poth.

This is Wyatt’s first year at the Sacred Heart Catholic School and is a student in Mrs. Barbara Bernhardt and Mrs. Brenda King’s 4K class. Wyatt is honored to celebrate Sacred Heart’s 80th anniversary this year. His great-grandmother, Mary Ella Richardson Tackitt, was a member of the first class to graduate from the school in June 1934.

Wyatt is a fun-loving, kind-hearted little cowboy, with a contagious smile. He loves working cattle with his Grandpa Allen, Daddy, and big brother Ty. He enjoys riding his horse Trigger, as well as rounding up cattle on horseback. He loves hunting, fishing, and riding the gator. Wyatt spends his summers kayaking and camping with his family.

He is carrying on a family tradition at the Sacred Heart Catholic School that is dear to our hearts.

Wyatt would like to dedicate his reign as King to his great-grandmother “Granny” Mary Ella Tackitt.

Princess Emily Ramirez

Emily Ramirez is honored to be this year’s Sacred Heart School Valentine Princess. She was born on Dec. 9, 2004, and shares her birthdate with her grandmother. Emily is the 8-year- old daughter of Roy and Sandra Ramirez. She is the granddaughter of Angelita Ramirez and the late Roy Ramirez, and Crisanta Flores and the late Baldemar Flores.

Emily has attended Sacred Heart School since she was 3 years old. She is currently in Ms. Lohse’s second-grade class. Emily also has one sister, Rosie, who also attends Sacred Heart School.

Emily loves reading and science. She also loves to cook, swim, and play with her puppy.

She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her.

Prince Michael James McManus Abelar

Michael James McManus Abelar is the new Valentine Prince. He was born on Sept. 5, 2006, the son of Erik Abelar and Breana Park. He is the grandson of Kathleen McManus of Aransas Pass.

This is Michael’s first year at Sacred Heart, and is in kindergarten. He loves Ms. Chavez’s class and all his friends. Michael’s best subjects are handwriting, reading, math, religion, and social studies. He also likes his drama, computer, and P.E. classes.

At home Michael loves to play with his German shepherds, Shadow and Dexter. Michael also likes to color, paint, play chess, and ride his bike. One of his favorite activities is golfing with his stepfather, Jeremiah Park. Michael likes “Star Wars” Angry Birds and his favorite book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.

Duchess Isabel Oleysa Kowalik

Isabel Oleysa Kowalik, 5, is proud to be this year’s Sacred Heart School Valentine Duchess. She is the daughter of Thomas and Yvette Kowalik of Falls City, and has a younger sister, Alina, who also attends 3K at Sacred Heart School. She is the granddaughter of Ernest and Anzelma Drees, and Mary L. Kowalik and Doug (Fulton) Burgess, all of Falls City. Isabel is also the granddaughter of the late Claude C. Pawelek and Thomas J. Kowalik Sr.

This is Isabel’s first year at Sacred Heart School, in the 4K class. She enjoys going to school and being around her friends and teachers. Isabel likes to play with her cat Tiger and dog Macy, ride bicycles, and play outside on their swing set and with her dolls. She and her sister enjoy checking cows and riding in the pasture with her Granny and Popo. Isabel attends the Erin Jones School of Dance and looks forward to her recitals. She is also a member of the Falls City Youth League and plans to play T-ball this spring. Isabel attends Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City with her family.

Isabel and her parents thank all her family and friends for supporting her and Sacred Heart School.

Duke Andre Arocha

Andre Arocha, 7, is proud to represent Sacred Heart School as Duke in this year’s 2013 Valentine Coronation Court. Andre is the son of Erica Lopez and stepfather Chezare Perez, and father Billy Arocha.

This is his first year at Sacred Heart as a second-grader. Andre has developed a passion and interest in God. He is also a very athletic boy whose first sport was soccer at age 3. Andre also enjoyed playing three seasons of baseball, two seasons of football, and being part of the Floresville Wildcats 2012 state champion team.

Scepter Holder Mia Faith Gonzales

Mia Faith Gonzales, 7, is excited and proud to represent Sacred Heart School as Scepter Holder of the 2013 Valentine Court. Mia is in first grade and in her second year at Sacred Heart. At school, Mia enjoys reading, math, science, and playing with her friends. At home, Mia loves being outdoors with her three dogs, her rabbit, and neighborhood friends. Mia will soon begin her second year of soccer. This summer she looks forward to camping, swimming, and exploring the beaches in Florida.

Mia is the daughter of Anthony and Betty Gonzales. She is the granddaughter of Angelina Gonzales and Irma Castro and the late Salvador and Ramona Castro, and Arturo Gonzales.

Crown Bearer Zachary Hoover

Zachary Hoover will be the Crown Bearer for the 2013 Sacred Heart Valentine Coronation Court. Zachary is the 11-year-old son of Kenneth and Margaret Hoover of Floresville, and grandson of Robert and Shirley Hoover of Floresville and Pete and Mary Zigmond of La Vernia.

Zachary has been at Sacred Heart for two years and is learning note-taking and study skills in order to excel this year. During Easter time, he and his brother, Wyatt, and sister Trinity love to decorate eggs. When at home, Zach loves to play with all his pets, including his rabbit Thumper, his goat Flare, his dog Sky, and all the guineas and chickens. Zachary also likes fishing, biking, hiking, and nature watching.
