October 31, 2009 “Multitasking” is a term that is used in today’s society a lot. We didn’t even know that word existed in the “old days”. It is even on resumes these days. July 6, 2009 I am not a teetotaler. I never have liked alcohol though. Even as a teenager, I refused to drink, and when I left home and went to work at 17, in 1949, in San Antonio, and was on my own, with my own apartment, working in an office, I refused to drink even at office parties and picnics. Not because I thought it was wrong, I just didn’t like to drink, saw everyone else drinking and wanted to be different. I also didn’t like the way some people acted when they drank. Their personalities would change to something I did not recognize. I never wanted to have that happen to me.I will admit that later on in life, after getting married and having friends who liked to have a beer or a drink, I would have a mixed drink. I never did like beer though. Now I do like the taste on a hot summer afternoon! But I don’t keep any in my house! (More)
July 1, 2009 I always tend to look at things going on in the natural as a sign of things going on the spiritual. We do live in a spiritual world, you know! You just have to see it! Just think about it. When you are fighting things daily that keep coming back to torment you, pester you and bug you, look at the thing as a spiritual thing. Sometimes it is little things. (More)
May 21, 2009 I was just thinking how much we depend on technology today. Can we even survive without it? We are so dependent on technology for everything these days. Progress is wonderful, but when we depend on it for things like sustaining relationships and family entertainment, aren’t we losing something? Technology may be one of the reasons families are so dysfunctional these days. (More)
