Freedom isn't Free
Freedom isn't FreeThomas J. Leytham, M.D.
November 19, 2009
65 years ago today - early on the cold, damp morning of November the 18th, 1944, PFC Thomas Harold Leytham Sr. walked with his brethren in C-company, 35th Infantry, 320th Infantry regiment, United States Army, into a field near Nancy, France. From a hedge ahead of him, enemy fire rained in from a Nazi machine gunner and he was struck in the upper chest and hit the ground motionless - leaving behind my grandmother, two brothers and his four year old son, my dad.  (More)

The San Antonio Tea Party is encouraging concerned citizens to turn out for the Tea Party Express rally this Thursday, September 3rd at 11:00 AM in Alamo Plaza. The Tea Party Express, sponsored by the “Our Country Deserves Better” Committee, is a caravan of motor coaches, RVs, minivans and other passanger vehicles, which departed on Friday from Sacramento, California, on a cross-country trip aimed at taking part in the 9-12 March on Washington rally. The mission of the Tea Party Express is to educate and encourage Americans in opposing massive deficit spending, government-run health care, and irresponsible bail-outs. Tea Party Express events in California and Nevada have attracted considerable local and national coverage, including a story on NPR’s Weekend Edition Sunday. The event in San Antonio, and in Waco at 5:00 PM on the 3rd , and another in Dallas on Friday, Steptember 4th are only three of 35 planned rallies.  (More)

San Antonio Tea Party to Host Healthcare Town Hall
Julia Hayden
August 17, 2009
In an effort to forego rhetoric in favor of informed discussion, the Austin Tea Party Patriots, which is affiliated with the San Antonio Tea Party, will host a “Healthcare Town Hall” August 20, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM in San Antonion at a venue to be announced. Headed by Dr. Clare L. Gray of the non-profit organization Physicians for Reform, the Town Hall will focus on “Finding a New Way Forward” – a program for healthcare reform that focuses on maintaining the physician-patient relationship within a structure that benefits all Americans. This Town Hall meeting will be an opportunity for San Antonians to hear constructive alternatives to currently proposed national healthcare legislation – alternatives which give decision making authority to people, rather than to a bureaucracy. There will be information about how these alternative proposals would allow inclusion of the chronically uninsured, and how healthcare can be made more cost affordable to everyone.  (More)

How Article Search Works

The Article search engine looks for an exact match on any word(s) in the headline or the article body.

You can choose to search only articles in a specific category (e.g., Business) or the entire site.

For example, if you type in the word Floresville, the search results will include Floresville City Council Agenda, Floresville City Council Special Meeting, and any other articles that have the word Floresville in either the headline or the article body.

If you search for multiple words, let’s say the words Floresville and 775, the search results will list any articles that include both Floresville AND 775 somewhere in the headline or the article body.
