AG's Cyber Crimes Unit arrests Gonzales man

GONZALES � Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott�s Cyber Crimes Unit has arrested Gonzales resident John Raymond Williams, 53, for child pornography possession. At the time of his arrest, Williams indicated he is a seventh grade science teacher with the Gonzales ISD. (More)

DPS identifies crash victim

FLORESVILLE (updated 5/14/13) -- The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an early afternoon accident on F.M. 536 west of Floresville, which claimed the life of one and sent two more to the hospital via AirLife. (More)

The FBI has released a Cyber Security Advisory urging all consumers and businesses to pay close attention to a vulnerability in Microsoft�s Internet Explorer 8 browser (IE8) that could allow scammers to access and take over users� computers. Afternoon fire destroys home

LA VERNIA -- A mobile home on U.S. 87 south of here is a total loss, following a late-afternoon fire May 8. Firefighters with the La Vernia, Sutherland Springs, & Stockdale volunteer fire departments were called out at approximately 4:20 pm, according to Deputy Robert Shockley with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office. They arrived to find the single-wide mobile home engulfed. (More)
