San Antonio State Hospital – Logan Hall
One in every four Americans have been diagnosed with a mental illness. Often the stigma attached to mental illness makes it challenging for those who need help to seek it. The San Antonio State Hospital and The Volunteer Services Council of the San Antonio State Hospital is hosting a monthly mental health community education series “Erasing Stigma – Changing Minds.”
This series is held the 2nd Thursday evening of each month at Logan Hall on the grounds of the San Antonio State Hospital beginning at 6:00 PM. The goal of this series is to provide information to increase the understanding individuals have about mental illness, available treatments and sources of support available in the San Antonio area. Our speakers have graciously agreed to provide these presentations at no charge to you or the sponsoring organizations. We take this opportunity to publically thank them for their commitment to the patients and communities they serve. Please note that concurrent English and Spanish presentations are offered each month.
Please share this information with your colleagues or those you serve. If you would like to be placed on our e mail list or obtain copies of seminar flyers, please contact Patti Rangel at patricia.rangel@dshs.state.tx.us
