The East Central Athletic Booster Club is planning its fourth annual scholarship fund-raiser dinner on Saturday, Nov. 21, in St. Jerome’s Catholic Church Hall in San Antonio starting at 6:30 p.m.
The meal will be catered by Ronnie Kiolbassa. Enjoy music and a live and silent auction. Individual tickets are available for $30 each, while corporate or group tables can be purchased for $300. Table sponsors will receive advertising in the East Central sports program and Web site. All the proceeds are applied toward individual scholarships for student athletes. Those attending the dinner must be 21 years old or older.

During December, your child can receive a call from a Santa Volunteer of the Volunteer Services Council of the San Antonio State Hospital. Calls in both English and Spanish are made to children living all over the country on the evenings of December 15th, 16th and 17th between the hours of 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm Central Standard Time.
Individuals ordering calls will need to complete a small information form which provides the Santa with basic information about your child, ie name of school, pet’s name, interests, etc. which makes the phone call more real for your child.

The Volunteer Services Council of the San Antonio State Hospital is opening their "Trinkets & Treasures Resale Shop" located in Logan Hall on the grounds of the San Antonio State Hospital, 6711 South New Braunfels for its Christmas Sale on December 3rd and 4th, 2009. The All-Faith's Chapel, hospital swimming pool, adolescent sports court, a meditation garden, and shade pavilions are some of the major contributions the council has made to the patients and the facility.
